FOOTBALL!

The Broncos played...

San Jose today.  We kicked butt, not that I had anything to do with it.  I realized that we could have gone to my parents house for fall break and went to the game tonight.  Tickets would have been a lot cheeper than the game we went to.  Oh well.  We won 48-0! I will admit I got bored after the half. The game we went to was much more exciting!

Since I wasn't blogging when we went to "our game" here are some fun pictures from that night.

In the Yard

Spent most of the day doing this:

I weeded out all the ivy/vines that will die soon from the front left flower bed (it was a lot of work!)
Preston rented a sod cutter and cut out all the grass to make new flower beds around the trees.  It'll make mowing so much easier.  I realized though that this might make less mowing for him and more weeding for me. Oh well. We returned the sod cutter and snuck in lunch at Oscar's Mexican hole in the wall (the same place we ate at last night.  Yes it was that good. 

We got a call from Olivia saying Ty had a blow out and poop was everywhere.  We giggled as we ate our food that it was her and not us.  What kind parents we are.  We got home and spent the next hour picking/rolling up sod.  We were so exhausted we didn't finish.  So we went inside to watch some football for the rest of the evening leaving the rest of the clean up for Monday.

Date Night

Pres & I went out and saw Eat Pray Love last night.  I read the book and loved it.  The movie was alright. I caught myself laughing out loud and very loud a few times.  Kind of got embarrassed.  Preston said he liked it.


We didn't do dinner before and even though it was after 9, Preston wanted to try a new restaurant (or hole in the wall).  It was a Mexican restaurant and I reluctantly agreed.  It's called Oscars.  It was so good! We even went back the next day for lunch!  Hahaha.

Picnic!

Today the kids & I spent the day:

Cleaning and doing house stuff.  The kids are on Fall Break (UEA as they call it Utah.  It took me 2 years of living here before I knew what that stood for-and now I can't tell you). I have a college student (though now she's graduated) come clean for me 1x a week for an hour. We were cleaning before she came LOL.  Today she was going to vacuum our stairs & upstairs floors so we were trying to get the floors picked up.  She called and canceled.  Oh well. At least most of our floors are picked up.

We were excited when:

today dear husband said he wanted to take us all and go on a picnic!  Yay! We went up the canyon to Timpanogos Park and ate KFC and played dodge ball and frisbee.  Well I didn't play.  Ty & I played and I also took some pictures.

There were a few couples having picnics of their own.  So sweet.  We all had fun except Tyler who decided he had enough by about 7pm.  

It was so beautiful outside with the mountains and the changing of the leaves & trees.  I love fall. With Ty crying & the temp getting a little cooler we decided to load up the car again headed for home for some HOT CHOCOLATE!
